The bomb carrier was killed on Sunday evening in the explosion of his device near a bar in Beni in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, hours after a bomb exploded in a church in the town that injured two women.

According to several sources, the person who laid the bomb went to the Troc district, in the heart of the city.

It is a very popular district, very frequented.

The consequences could have been terrible but the man had isolated himself next to a butcher's shop, no doubt to plant the bomb and it would have exploded too soon.

The wearer died of his injuries and it appears that no one else was injured.

On the other hand, around 6 a.m. this morning, it was the Butsili district in the west of the city

that was shaken by another explosion

.

A homemade bomb exploded in the Catholic Church.

The mayor of Beni has declared a curfew until tomorrow morning to allow the defense and security forces to secure the area.

Another bomb threat was triggered in the afternoon northeast of Beni, near the Monusco camp.

The civil society of Béni also underlines that for a month, delinquency, unrelated to the ADF, has increased in the city.
