June 27, 2021A boat with 130 migrants of various nationalities was rescued by the patrol boats of the Coast Guard and the Guardia di Finanza off the coast of Lampedusa. This is the second landing of the day on the island, where another 103 migrants arrived this morning.
In the reception facility in the Imbriacola district, 300 guests have now been reached, but the capacity is for 250.
The Prefecture of Agrigento has already arranged for the transfer of the first 100 migrants already identified and subjected to a rapid anti-Covid swab. Most of these are unaccompanied minors and women who will board the scheduled ferry to Porto Empedocle in the morning.
