First observation丨What can we read from the two oaths

On June 18th, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to the History Exhibition Hall of the Communist Party of China, and visited the “Historical Exhibition of the Communist Party of China “Do not forget the original heart and remember the mission”.

In addition to visiting the exhibition, there is also a special arrangement——

On October 31, 2017, General Secretary Xi Jinping led a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee to Shanghai to pay homage to the site of the First Party Congress and revisit the party oath there, declaring the firm political conviction of the new leadership of the Party Central Committee.

The two red landmarks, where the general secretary took the oath twice, are the memory of ideals and beliefs and the manifestation of continued struggle.

In the last oath, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China concluded only a week. The Party Central Committee has just clarified the goals and tasks of the development of the party and the country. It has drawn a grand blueprint for building a well-off society in all respects and building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. It is an important deployment of the theme education of not forgetting the original intention and keeping in mind the mission.

Standing in a new historical position, the new central leadership collectively vowed to have a dialogue that travels through time and space with the founder of the party at the place where our party dreams of sailing.

This is the Chinese Communists' review of their original mission in the new era, as well as their comfort to history and ancestors:

From the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, generations of Chinese Communists have continued to struggle, step by step towards the grand goal of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

And this time, on the centenary of the party, standing at a new historical starting point to achieve the goal of the second centenary, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to this exhibition hall that presents the struggle of the Communist Party of China in a panoramic manner, from the party’s struggle history. To absorb the strength of advancement in China, it shows the determination and will to continue to struggle to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The key to realizing the grand goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation lies in the party and party members and cadres.

This time, the general secretary led the party members and leading comrades to revisit the oath of joining the party, in order to warn all comrades in the party that joining the party organizationally is once in a lifetime; joining the party ideologically requires a lifetime.

After a hundred years of trials and hardships, facing new tasks, and setting off on a new journey, the majority of party members and cadres need to strengthen their ideals and beliefs and be loyal to the party.

No matter how far you go to the glorious future, you can't forget the past you've walked through, and you can't forget why you started.

In the two oaths, the time and space are changing, and the phased tasks are changing. What remains unchanged is the unswerving original aspiration of the Chinese Communists, the lifelong belief in fighting for communism, and the responsibility of leading the national rejuvenation.

Today, the "14th Five-Year Plan" has begun, and a new journey to comprehensively build a modern socialist country has begun.

Looking back at the road of struggle in the past, looking at the road ahead, from saving the nation to rejuvenating and pursuing dreams, the Chinese Communists in the new era have not changed their original aspirations and have never moved forward.
