The environmental candidate for the presidency of Ile-de-France Julien Bayou announced Monday the union of his list with those of the PS and LFI / PCF for the second round of the regional ballot to try to beat the outgoing Valérie Pécresse .

"That's it, we are united with Audrey Pulvar and Clémentine Autain for ecology and solidarity in Ile-de-France!", Indicated on Twitter the national secretary of EELV, leading on the left Sunday with 12 , 95% of the votes.

Ms. Pécresse (ex-LR, Libres!) Came out ahead with 35.94%.

Arrived at the negotiating table in the middle of the night, in the wake of the announcement of the results, the three candidates reached an agreement at midday that they will present during a joint trip to Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint -Denis) at the end of the afternoon.

The main question around this agreement concerns free transport, a flagship and "non-negotiable" measure of Audrey Pulvar (11.07% of the votes in the first round) to which Julien Bayou was opposed.

Clémentine Autain (10.24%) promised free education for those under 25 and all beneficiaries of minimum social benefits.

Four candidates will be present in the second round: Valérie Pécresse, Julien Bayou, Jordan Bardella (RN, 13.12% in the first round) and Laurent Saint-Martin (LREM, 11.76%).

In 2015, Ms. Pécresse had delighted the region with the PS after a triangular with the FN, now RN.
