June 20, 2021 World Refugee Day is celebrated today.

The Pope recalled this at the Angelus.

"Let us open our hearts to refugees, make their sadness, their joys our own, we learn from their courageous resilience. In this way, all together we will make a more human community grow, one big family", Pope Francis stressed.

"Let us free ourselves from false religiosity".

"We are not enough for ourselves"

"The beginning of our faith" is "recognizing that alone we are unable to stay afloat, that we need Jesus like the sailors of the stars to find our way. Faith begins with believing that we are not enough for ourselves, from feeling in need of God. When we overcome the temptation to shut ourselves up, when we overcome the false religiosity that does not want to disturb God, when we cry out to Him, He can work wonders in us ", the Pope said at the Angelus.

"How many times - Pope Francis continued - do we stare at problems instead of going to the Lord and throwing our worries into him! How many times do we leave the Lord in a corner, at the bottom of the boat of life, to wake him only in time of need! Let us ask today for the grace of a faith that never tires of seeking the Lord, of knocking on the door of his heart ".
