One person was killed and another injured when a truck crashed into a LGBT event in Florida, USA on the 19th (local time).
According to the Associated Press, a white pickup truck rushed into a pedestrian just before the LGBT march to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in Wilton Manos, Broward County, Florida on the 19th.
As a result, two men were injured and taken to hospital, and one eventually died.
It is not yet known whether the incident was an accident or a deliberate act.
The truck driver, who is now in custody, is said to have claimed to police that his foot got caught between the accelerator and brake pedals and was out of control.
However, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, who was present at the scene, told local television shortly after the incident that it was a "intentional terrorist attack against the LGBT community," and said Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was the target.
