Despite catastrophic reviews, the action comedy "Hitman and Bodyguard 2" seized the top box office in North America this weekend, dethroning "Without a noise 2" which nevertheless continues its good course.
Sequel to "Hitman and Bodyguard", the film brings together Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek again, the first still in the service of a hitman and his wife, struggling with various thugs.
For its first weekend of operation, the comedy grossed $ 11.6 million in theaters in the United States and Canada from Friday to Sunday, or 17 million since its release on Thursday, and including previews.
It is ahead of "Sans un noise 2", which sold tickets for 9.4 million dollars, bringing its total to 125 million in 4 weeks on the bill.
The weekend was deprived of any significant release, pending the arrival, Friday, of the first blockbuster of the summer, "Fast and Furious 9", which has already made $ 292 million in revenue worldwide. .
