It is with attention that the heads of state present in Accra listened to the report of Good Luck Jonathan, special envoy of the ECOWAS for Mali.

In the meeting room, Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, president of the Commission of the sub-regional institution participated in the work.

“

According to the mediator's report, which has been drawn up, there is a positive development, and which remains encouraging.

A civilian prime minister has been appointed, in accordance with the decision of the heads of state.

A government has been appointed and installed.

 "

But no blank check for the Malian authorities of the transition.

The country's suspension measure has not yet been lifted.

A monitoring mechanism will be put in place.

The monitoring mechanism will make it possible to work in close collaboration with the Malian authorities for the implementation of the roadmap which should lead to the elections,

 " continued Jean-Claude Kassi Brou.

Clearly, the organization at all costs of the presidential and legislative elections in February 2022 as planned.

But in Accra, heads of state - like the Ivorian Alassane Dramane Ouattara - have also appealed to Mali's bilateral and multilateral partners to support this country which is going through a multidimensional crisis.
