The Black Sea Fleet military arrived in Kerch to eliminate the consequences of the disaster

“The detachment includes 200 servicemen and ten KamAZ vehicles.

Upon arrival in Kerch, the detachment will be at the disposal of the interdepartmental operational headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the emergency, created by the authorities of the peninsula, ”the Black Sea Fleet said.

The reason for flooding in the region was heavy rains - on the night of Friday, June 18, in Yalta and on Mount Ai-Petri in Crimea, the monthly norm of precipitation fell.

As of the morning of June 19, the number of victims of the disaster increased to 18 people.

The head of the city administration of Yalta, Yanina Pavlenko, previously appealed to the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Igor Osipov, with a request to provide the city with assistance with equipment and people.
