Sweden dominated Slovakia 1-0 after a lackluster match in St. Petersburg, which left intact the chances of both teams to reach the round of 16 in Group E of the Euro.

After a first destitute period when the defenses extinguished the attacks, the changes made by Sweden have paid off.

Forsberg opened the scoring by converting a penalty (77th) following a gross foul by Dubravska on the new entrant Quaison who was heading alone towards the goal.

Sweden, now on a favorable waiver, will closely follow the opposition between Spain and Poland scheduled for Saturday in Seville (9:00 p.m.).
