June 18, 2021Christian Eriksen was operated on last night at the Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen hospital where he has been hospitalized since last Saturday when he collapsed on the pitch during the Denmark-Finland course.

The player was implanted with a subcutaneous defibrillator. Eriksen is expected to be discharged in the next few hours already.

The defibrillator is a protection system that regulates cardiac arrhythmia but which could complicate the green light for the return to football, at least in Italy.
