The updated situation in Italy and in the world

The decline in the epidemic curve in Italy continues. There are 1,147 new cases against 1,325 yesterday.



With 216,026 swabs (yesterday 200,315) the positivity rate also falls, 0.5% (yesterday 0.7%).



There are 35 deaths (yesterday 37), for a total of 127,225 victims since the beginning of the epidemic.



The pressure on healthcare facilities is still easing: intensive care is 28 fewer (yesterday -27) with 11 admissions a day, and down to 416, while ordinary hospitalizations are 208 fewer (yesterday -176), 2,680 in total.



There are 4,250,902 cases since the beginning of the epidemic, 127,225 deaths. The discharged and healed are instead 4,031,605, with an increase of 7,648 compared to yesterday, while the currently positive drop to 92,072, down by 6,536 in the last 24 hours.



There are 88,976 people in home isolation (-6,300 compared to yesterday).
