The police in Jönköping County made a measurement before an interview with SVT Nyheter Jönköping.
They have an influx of 171 fraud cases from January to March.
- The influx is large nationally and in the Jönköping region, says Marco Sannelius, group manager at the fraud unit.
Better collaboration
The police now want other government agencies to review their routines, this because they believe that better cooperation is required for people to be exposed to fraud to a lesser extent.
The police authority continues to inform the public about the type of crime, not least on social media, but they also review the organization.
- We need to train and further train staff in the face of the problems we face, says Marco Sannelius.
