When New China was founded, Uncle Kurban was already over 60 years old.

During the land reform, the Kurban family divided the house and ten acres of land, and for the first time he planted his own land.

In the autumn of 1955, Kurban had another bumper harvest.

He grinds the noodles with freshly harvested grains, beats naan continuously every day, and is determined to ride a donkey to Beijing to see Chairman Mao.

Later, the story of Uncle Kurban spread to the leaders of the autonomous region. When they went to southern Xinjiang, the leaders paid a special visit to Kurban and encouraged him to give birth. If there is a chance, he must be sent to Beijing.

Since then, Kurban has worked harder and harder in production, and has been rated as a national model worker.

On the afternoon of June 28, 1958, Kurban, together with other model workers across the country, was cordially received by Chairman Mao Zedong in Zhongnanhai, Beijing.
