Eight months in prison, three of which are closed for one, suspended sentences for the others.

Three far-right activists from Angers were sentenced on Wednesday after a punitive expedition that took place a month ago in the city center of Angers, indicates the

Ouest-France

newspaper

.

The violent assault occurred at night on the outskirts of the premises of the Alvarium identity association.

A group of five people had approached to stick leaflets on the facade, before a dozen occupants chased them in the streets to beat them.

Two of the victims had notably been transported to the CHU, requiring several stitches.

According to the newspaper

Ouest-France

, the main defendant is none other than one of the founders of the Alvarium, a figure of the far right Angevin and son of the former boss of the Regional National Front.

The young man, who was sentenced in 2019 for violence against a police officer and incitement to racial hatred, has also seen his stay revoked.

"He therefore went into detention for thirteen months," indicates the daily.
