According to RIA Novosti, the fund indicates that the time of service is counted in the seniority and 1.8 pension coefficient is calculated for each year.

The Pension Fund explains that in a number of situations, when calculating pension payments, service in the army until 2002 is also taken into account, although this does not always give the largest amount of payments.

The corresponding coefficients are accrued to Russians during the period of official employment and depend on the amount of insurance premiums and length of service.

The size of the pension that the Russian will receive in the end depends on this indicator.

In March, senators, together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia, discussed the inclusion of military service in the army in the length of service for early retirement.

Subsequently, the Russian government decided to simplify early retirement in a number of professions: now, the length of service, which gives such a right, will include periods of study and additional vocational education, including refresher courses.
