It's a ritual, the baccalaureate opens with philosophy and it's this Thursday.

A little over 750,000 French students are called upon to work on the tests for a new version of the baccalaureate.

2021 will mark a year of change since it is the first edition of the “bac Blanquer”, in other words that of a reformed baccalaureate.

And no question of being evaluated as last year entirely by the continuous assessment even if the latter will still represent 82% of the final mark of the exam.

The French table tests for Première and Philosophy students for Terminale therefore remain in place.

Just like the great novelty, the queen test of this baccalaureate: the Grand Oral where the student will have to demonstrate his ability to speak in public.

The test will last 20 minutes in front of two teachers from another establishment.

But this year, due to a school year disrupted by the health crisis and the hiccups of the distance school, the rules are relaxed, the high school student will have the opportunity to provide the jury with the list of dead ends in the program.

He will also be able to consult his preparation notes during his speech.

Always in a

concern of benevolence

, for the test of philosophy, it is the mark of continuous control which will be retained if it is better than that of the written test.

In addition, on the day of the exam, high school students will be able to choose between four subjects, instead of the usual three. 

Finally, a strict protocol will be established in each examination room: spacing between high school students of two meters, the presence of hydroalcoholic gel or the ventilation of the rooms before and after the tests.

The preparation of the oral tests will be done in another room, and the candidates will have to keep their mask during all the duration of the tests, written as oral.
