Now this is the real challenge, building the healthcare of the future. And I think there is a role and a function in the psychological area that we absolutely must strengthen. From Friday 99% of the country in the white zone

"I insisted that it was a gradual path, but in all probability by Friday we will have 99% of the country in the white zone, so we are objectively in a different phase. But we still need great attention and constant work from all points of view to be equipped and organized in a phase that is still open battle ". This was stated by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, speaking at the conference organized by the National Council of the Order of Psychologists (Cnop) "For people's health: proposals for the implementation of 'functional areas of psychology' for the implementation of Lea and of the Pnrr ".



In 7 days the cases we counted in half a day

"We have exceeded 43 million vaccine administrations and one in 2 Italians has had a first dose. Thanks to this extraordinary tool, we can plan a different management phase of the circulation of the virus and the numbers are there for all to see. There have been days in which we counted 40,000 new cases in 24 hours, then 20,000,11,000. In the last week there were 11,000 infections, a figure to be taken with caution but in 7 days we had the numbers that at other times were done in half a day ", Hope said. Even deaths, he added, "have dropped significantly and are steadily below 100. It is clear that we are in a completely different epidemiological phase".



No more obstacles and stumbling blocks in assistance

"In these complicated months,we have been able to count on the professionalism and skills of psychologists - remembers Speranza - In the most delicate moments we have also activated a free number to give psychological assistance, a meritorious initiative, made by volunteers, to whom we must recognize strength and value. In the phase in which we are now there are some challenging characteristics and for this we must keep together two fundamental directions - explains the minister - one is to take up the challenge of the pandemic, win it: we are 1 in two Italians who received the vaccine, thanks to science. We remember when in one day we had 40 thousand cases: now we have a thousand cases a day, with deaths that have dropped and are stable below 100. As long as there is even one person who loses his life we ​​must continue to fight.And we still have to be cautious and by Friday we will have 99% of the country in the white zone ".
