This year, the county administrative board has received a larger budget to inventory, inform about and combat invasive alien species.

Part of the work is the exhibition that opened at Naturum in Ronneby Brunnspark on Wednesday.

- We want to draw people's attention to the problem of alien invasive species, says Robert Ekholm who is the director of Naturum Blekinge.

You can do this as a private person

The focus of the exhibition is on the species that are most important to fight in Blekinge - both on land and in water.

These include giant locusts, park slides, giant balsam, skunk cold, water turtle, black-headed and Spanish forest snail.

- The exhibition is both about the work that the county administrative board does with invasive species but also about what you as a private person can do to combat invasive species, says Elvira Nilsson-Isacsson, coordinator for invasive alien species at the county administrative board.

In the clip above, Elvira Nilsson-Isacsson lists three species that are common - and important - that you fight as a private person in Blekinge.
