The State Duma commented on Zelensky's statements about Nord Stream 2

According to the parliamentarian, Zelensky needs an "external enemy", which is why he makes such statements. 

"He has a low rating, so he went this way ... But we (Russia. -

) do not want anything bad either for Ukraine or for its residents," the deputy said.

He also added that for European consumers, gas transportation via Nord Stream 2 is much cheaper.  

In addition, commenting on Zelensky's statement about the need for security guarantees, the interlocutor of RT said that “you can talk, shout, be indignant, beat your fist,” but, as Anansky emphasized, in this project “there is no politics, only the economy.”

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the Nord Stream 2 project a political weapon.

Also, the Ukrainian leader said that the country should receive security guarantees, adding that the most important thing in them is "the return of our territories."
