Växjö Laker's private market manager Maja Storbjörk says that it is about SEK 600,000 that they now want to pay back to the season card holders who chose to forgive their cards.

This is when the club - despite the pandemic and absent audience - made a profit of almost SEK 9.5 million according to the latest annual report.

"Do not want to be greedy"

Now they have started a process where they announce that the money to the fans is either paid back, or used for a new card for the coming season.

- Those we have talked to have been very happy. Some have said that they still intended to donate the money and saw it as a support and we are grateful for that, but we do not want to be greedy. This has been a tough time for many of our private subscribers as well and then we have to find ways for them to be able to go to our matches, says Maja Storbjörk to Smålandsposten.
