June 16, 2021 Bomb alarm in the afternoon in Rome, in the Prati district. At about 5.40 pm, the Police Headquarters was notified of the presence, in via Tito Spiri, of a car with suspicious wires.



The adjacent roads were closed to traffic and the bomb squads intervened on the spot who, according to police sources, ascertained that it was actually a rudimentary device. There was no explosion and investigations are ongoing. 



According to Adnkronos, the car belongs to Marco Doria, president of the table for the redevelopment of parks and historic villas in Rome. A cylinder containing gunpowder and bolts with electric wires was found on the body of his car. The bomb so packaged could have exploded.



Marco Doria, had already received threats and was already subjected to a measure for the protection of the prefecture, which after what happened today has already intensified checks against him. In the next provincial committee for public order and safety, the raising of the protection measure will be evaluated.
