US President Joe Biden said the atmosphere was good and positive about the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the 16th (local time).

At a separate press conference after the summit with Putin in Geneva, Switzerland, President Biden said, "The tone of the whole meeting, I think it was four hours in total, was good and positive. There was no offensive action."

"I did what I came to do," he said. "First, to identify the realms of pragmatic efforts our two countries can make for mutual benefit and global benefit. Second, the United States is at the core of our alliance and We are directly and directly conveying that we will respond to actions that damage our interests.”

He continued, "The third is to present our country's priorities and our values," he said.

Biden said he did not believe Putin was pursuing a Cold War with the United States and told Putin that the new Cold War was not in the interest of anyone, including the United States and Russia.

When asked if Russia would intervene or hack another U.S. election, Biden replied: "He knows there will be a price. I know I'll act."

"I told [President Putin] that we have significant cyber capabilities. He knows," he said.

President Biden also warned that the price Russia will pay if the death of imprisoned opposition activist Alexey Navalny is huge.
