The press conference for the Shenzhou 12 manned mission was held today (16th) at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Ji Qiming, assistant to the director of China’s Manned Space Engineering, introduced the Tianhe core module and Tianzhou-2 combination at the press conference. The current state is good and meets the requirements for rendezvous and docking with Shenzhou 12 and the stationing of astronauts.

After the Tianhe core module and the Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft entered orbit, they have completed 42 tests in 9 categories as planned, including basic platform functions, rendezvous and docking, astronaut staying, robotic crawling and on-orbit identification, and exiting the cabin. Function and scientific experiment cabinet and other test content.

The Tianhe core cabin and the Tianzhou-2 combination are currently in good condition, and the platform equipment is working normally.

The assembly has been adjusted to a nearly circular docking orbit with a height of about 390 kilometers, establishing a rendezvous and docking posture and a manned environment.

The analysis confirmed that the combination meets the requirements for the rendezvous and docking with Shenzhou 12 and the stationing of astronauts.

The Tianhe core module provides three times as much space for astronauts as the Tiangong-2 space laboratory. It is equipped with 3 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom to ensure the daily life of astronauts.

In terms of aerospace food, there are more than 120 aerospace foods with balanced nutrition, rich variety, good taste and long shelf life.

The dining area is equipped with food heating, refrigeration and drinking equipment, as well as folding tables for the astronauts to eat.

The exercise area is equipped with space treadmills and space bicycles for astronauts' daily exercise.

Through the space-to-earth communication link and video call equipment, two-way video calls between the space station and the ground and sending and receiving emails can be realized.

In terms of manned environment control, compared with previous manned missions, the core cabin of the space station is equipped with a regenerative life support system, including electrolytic oxygen production, condensate collection and treatment, urine treatment, carbon dioxide removal, and trace harmful gas removal subsystems. , Can realize the recycling of water and other consumable resources, and ensure the long-term stay of astronauts in orbit.
