Hundreds of public officials, leading caregivers, demonstrated Tuesday in several cities in France, including Paris, Bordeaux and Lille, to demand increases in wages and staff.

Despite the monthly increase of 183 euros net granted to employees of hospitals and nursing homes, "the anger has not subsided", assures AFP Mireille Stivala, general secretary of CGT Health marching with, according to her, "a small thousand "of people between Bercy and Cochin hospital.

The police headquarters counted 550.

After a series of corporatist mobilizations (intensive care unit, nurse-anesthetists, those in the operating room, laboratory technicians, psychologists ...), nine organizations led by the CGT-Santé had called for this day of strike and demonstrations.

Also gathered in Bercy, territorial agents (500 people according to the CGT), joined by elected officials including the number two of LFI Adrien Quatennens, went to the City Hall of Paris, where garbage collectors are in conflict with their hierarchy for several weeks.

With the exception of 2016 when it was revalued by 1.2%, the index point has been frozen since 2010.

"There is a real need for recognition, some missions are neglected, there are not enough candidates in Education, resignations in Health to the private sector," he added.

"I may have a vocation, I am tired, I do not feel I have the means to do my job", regrets Fanny, 28, nurse in the intensive care unit in Bichat.

"Even if we are a little better paid, we still do not have the means to work properly".

In Bordeaux, several hundred people denounced "the low wage increases in the + Ségur de la santé + agreements".

A few firecrackers, a handful of multicolored smoke bombs punctuated the course of the demonstration, calm, against a background of songs and slogans amplified by the loudspeakers of the van at the head of the procession.

On banners one could read "Angry hospital social service", "Laboratory technicians, essential invisibles" or "SEGUR = Imposture".

They were also forty in Limoges, gathered in front of the emergency room of the CHU.

Nurses, nursing aides, hospital service workers on strike for one hour each day, renewable "until we are heard," warns Fabienne Deconchat, CFDT Santé Social secretary.

"We can't take it anymore."

"Radio manipulation, roughed up, badly paid and essential to health services", "no to new funding for psychiatry, no to decreasing rates and not to activity rates" could we read in the demonstration in Lille, where the prefecture counted 170 people.

The psychologist Sonia Abdelhalim, T-shirt "angry psy" on the back, is worried about the "price of 22 euros proposed for reimbursements".

"The human need, it takes time, it is necessary to take this time so that there is a quality work, especially in child psychiatry", she explains.

According to the intersyndicale, more than 80 rallies were organized across the country.
