According to the National Food Administration, it is in the removal process, when the intestines are removed from the carcasses, that there are shortcomings.

There must also be problems with internal communication which means that measures are not taken in time.

The National Food Administration writes that the shortcomings that are pointed out can ultimately lead to the presence of campylobacter in the meat - a bacterium that can cause severe stomach illness and in the worst case, sequelae.

The crown bird must have known about the shortcomings for a long time without taking proper measures.

Therefore, the National Food Administration now threatens with a fine of SEK 300,000 per commenced month and for each of the total of three points where the company fails.

The requirement applies from 1 July.
