Minister of Finance since 2016, Henri Marie Dondra inherits in passing as head of the executive a difficult economic situation since the rebel offensive of last December.

It will also have to face the expectations of international partners such as France, which recently announced the suspension of its budgetary aid and lead the “national dialogue” announced by the President of the Republic Faustin Archange Touadéra.

“Relaunch”, “openness”, “dialogue” are therefore the first words of Henri Marie Dondra as Prime Minister.

First of all, a “stimulus” message, from an economy hard hit by months of blockage following the rebel offensive.

We are experiencing some internal resource mobilization issues.

We should start to diversify our sources of income by broadening the tax base,

 ”suggests the head of government.

And under pressure from donors who demand guarantees in terms of governance, justice and respect for human rights to maintain their aid, “

these exchanges will allow us to agree so that our partners can come back to the table.

The whole thing is to discuss and exchange and that is what is currently being done

.

"

Then a message of "

openness

", "

to all our compatriots, whether they are armed groups which are within the framework of the APPR, to participate in this government

".

And finally "

dialogue

" with "

the need to appease the political environment of our country

".

We are now waiting to know the composition of the new government.

Discussions are underway with political parties and the Head of State.

A little patience is not an easy task

," said the new Prime Minister.
