Yesterday, the commercial centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi began implementing the green traffic system, which includes new conditions for entering commercial centers, including showing a negative result for the “BCR” examination before entering the center, and the permissible examination validity period varies between three days and a month, depending on the timing of obtaining whether or not to receive the vaccine.

A tour of "Emirates Today" showed that there were queues at the entrances to commercial centers on the first day of application, while adhering to precautionary measures and social distancing, while shopping centers refused to enter those who did not meet the new conditions.

Officials of commercial centers told «Emirates Today», that they have taken a number of measures to avoid overcrowding and adhere to precautionary measures, with an emphasis on preventing entry to those who do not meet the conditions, stressing that the most important challenges facing the application are the expected severe crowding, especially during weekend periods, and evening shifts, and some visitors were not aware of the new procedures.

The CEO of Mubarak and Brothers Investments Company, Mohamed Al-Hajj, stated that the Deerfield Commercial Center has started implementing the green traffic system, to provide protection and safety for all the center's visitors, in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi.

Al-Hajj indicated that the center took measures to facilitate entry and avoid crowding, including preparing a side waiting site at the entrance to the mall, equipped with Internet services, and allocating a group of employees to help shoppers who face any difficulties in showing the results of the examination, and showing the vaccination status on the Al-Hosn application, He pointed out that some of the center's visitors may face difficulty, as a result of the old phone model they own, or the lack of internet.

He stressed that such measures support Abu Dhabi as a safe destination to live and visit, while many countries are still in the stage of closure, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

Sources in the management of "Yas Mall" and the World Trade Center said that an area has been allocated to examine the status of the "BCR examination", and the status of the vaccine inside the mall itself, to avoid exposure of pioneers to high temperatures outside, and special paths for women and families have been identified. In addition to allocating an additional path for the center's visitors who have inquiries related to how to show the green status in the Al-Hosn application, the status of obtaining the vaccine, and other inquiries, in order to facilitate entry and prevent congestion at the entrances.

The management of the two centers confirmed that the presence of “Wi-Fi” helped consumers, given the need for the Internet to access and update the Al-Hosn application, noting that pioneers over 16 years of age who did not have a negative test result, or had an old test result that did not fit their vaccine status were banned.

They explained that the green traffic system was implemented, with full adherence to preventive measures, especially wearing masks and applying social distancing, with signs showing parking positions and safe distances between individuals.

The new rules

An official in the management of a commercial center in Abu Dhabi, (A.N), said that the biggest challenges facing the implementation of the green traffic system are during the weekend and evening periods, when the number of visitors is times the normal days or the middle of the week, noting that It is a good idea to start the application in the middle of the week, in preparation for the holiday, to avoid any defects or problems with the application.

He pointed out that some visitors' lack of knowledge of the new applicable rules is an important challenge, because it disrupts the entry process for shoppers, which leads to some congestion.
