The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the holding of the meeting, the first high-level bilateral meeting after a long period of time. They reviewed the state of bilateral relations and discussed the prospects for cooperation in trade and investment, science and technology, the fight against terrorism, culture and other areas of mutual interest. They also agreed to strengthen cooperation between Italy and India in multilateral fora.
