The method requires that the procedure be repeated every fortnight and the municipality plans to continue the work until the last September this year.
- So far, there is no exact science about which method is best.
People do things differently in different municipalities, says Maria Lind, street park manager in Partille municipality.
Environmentally friendly method
She says that they chose the water method because it is environmentally friendly and does not harm the environment.
In a couple of areas, the municipality also uses a so-called cover cloth that is laid over the park slide to prevent sunlight from entering.
- But it is much more cumbersome because a large area needs to be covered.
Because it needs to lie still for several years, it is not a great alternative where people move, says Maria Lind.
