Terrorist charges have just been brought against the man who knowingly killed the four members of one ten days ago in London, not far from Toronto in Canada.

A 9-year-old survived the ram truck attack, and has just been released from the hospital.

The suspect would have deliberately chosen these pedestrians, whom he had identified as Muslims.

Canada added terrorism charges to its criminal code in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

This provision aims to condemn individuals or groups who premeditiously attack a particular section of the population or attempt to terrorize them.

Regarding the motorist who knowingly ran into a Muslim family in London, local police suggested from the start that he had targeted these people because of their faith.

The justice system will now have to prove it, a task that is not easy.

According to several representatives of the Muslim community, this accusation constitutes a political means to fight against Islamophobia and denounce violence.

In 2019, the number of hate crimes against Muslims would have increased by 9% compared to the previous year.
