The Minister of the Interior sent a clear instruction to the police on Monday evening: during the first match in the Euro 2020 of the French football team, it will be necessary to be tolerant of the curfew.

Even if it remains fixed at 11 p.m., the French will be able to go see the game away and return without being worried.

The Blues take to the track in the Euro football this Tuesday evening.

They will face Germany in Munich.

In France, the curfew remains fixed at 11 p.m.

No exemption, but a little flexibility on the part of the government.

The Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin asks the police to show tolerance for the supporters who will watch the match in a fan zone, with friends or in a bar.

It is written in black and white on the telegram sent by Gérald Darmanin to all the prefects on Monday evening.

The Minister of the Interior asks the police to show a "particular leniency" in the control of people who return home after watching the match outside their home.

The increasingly difficult curfew to enforce

But the ministry specifies it: this tolerance could not be a pretext to be able to prolong the evening in bars, restaurants or on the public highway.

Gérald Darmanin insists: the curfew schedule remains at 11 p.m.

Already, an exceptional exemption had been granted to spectators at Roland-Garros last Friday.

And this new indulgence for the Blues match on Tuesday night could rekindle the debate on maintaining the curfew.

We saw it again last weekend, especially on the Esplanade des Invalides, in Paris. Officially, the curfew is due to end on June 30. Last stage of deconfinement.
