Josef Wiklund, as a Swedish police officer from the foreign forces, will help and coach the police with the legal policy issues and try to build up the police to become a democratic police force.

He is stationed in Somaliland in a town called Hargeisa.

 - It is very difficult but incredibly exciting!

Police operations are somehow universal.

They face similar challenges with juvenile delinquency and exclusion.

But they do not have the same tools as we have, says Josef.

Lessons learned

Lessons he takes home are that you do not have to complicate things so much.

 - Sometimes it may be necessary to simplify.

See what works and keep it simple.

It may be something we need to learn more from, I can think from my own perspective here, says Josef.

Hear him talk about the different everyday life with lion warnings and work abroad.
