June 14, 2021 The final signature of the EU institutions on the regulation establishing the EU Covid digital certificate, also known as the digital green pass, arrives to facilitate travel within the Union and contribute to economic recovery. The Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Costa, representing the Member States, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, signed the final text this morning in the European Parliament. The certificates are expected to come into force on 1 July.
