Saudi Arabia receives the names of those wishing to perform Hajj

Today, Sunday, Saudi Arabia began registering the names of citizens and residents of the Kingdom wishing to perform Hajj this year, to select 60,000 people who meet the conditions.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said, in a press statement today, that registration is available through the online portal from one in the evening local time today until ten in the evening next Wednesday.

She added that there is no priority for early registration, and reservations and package purchases will start at 1:00 p.m. next Friday.

And the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdul-Fattah Mashat, confirmed yesterday, Saturday, that the priority to apply for Hajj this year will be for those who have not previously performed Hajj, with the application of the 5-year condition.

Mashaat stressed that "the registration mechanisms and selection criteria will be completely clear, and there is no difference between a citizen and a resident."

He pointed out that the Kingdom found understanding from all the embassies of the countries of the world, when it was informed that the Hajj this year will be restricted to 60,000 pilgrims inside, in order to preserve the safety of all.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that registration for those wishing to perform the Hajj rites for this year is limited to citizens and residents inside Saudi Arabia only, with a total of 60,000 pilgrims, and they are within the age groups from 18 to 65 years for those vaccinated. Last year, it represented half of the total new cases in Russia, which are 14,700 new cases.
