It is reported that Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commissioner Jeon Hyun-hee is considering a plan to directly head the investigation team without evading his duties in relation to the request for a complete investigation of the real estate situation through the people's power.

"I am not subject to evasion by law," the former chairman said in a phone call, Yonhap News reported.

The former chairman previously avoided his duties in a real estate survey of lawmakers belonging to the Democratic Party of Korea.

However, the former chairman explained that this was in accordance with the Code of Conduct for civil servants, which required him to avoid jobs related to corporations or groups that he had been in office for within two years as he was from the Democratic Party.

In an SNS post, the former chairman also mentioned, "There is a risk of misunderstanding and distrust to put an unfair frame on the job of the head of an agency before an investigation is conducted."

However, the former chairman evaded his job by saying, "There should be no misunderstanding" about the request for a full investigation by the five non-subsidizing parties, including the Justice Party, but controversy is expected in the political circles over not falling into the investigation of the people's power.
