According to the municipality's documents, the old fire station was built in 1940. The rescue service moved out in the mid 80's.

- It was the first fire station in Bjurholm.

The municipality has used it as storage for a long time but does not use it today, says Christina Lidström (M).

In total, the building is 440 square meters.

In the building there is a tall tower that the rescue service used to hang a fire hose.

- This is the first time I am selling an old fire station.

The tower may not be of much use now, says Christer Bergh.

Views for the week

There are already several speculators for the different property.

- We have a few screenings a week.

It is mostly people from Bjurholm so far, says broker Christer Bergh.

The municipal council believes that it will succeed in selling the property.

- It can be exciting locally for those who have a small company.

Then we experience that the distances to Umeå are experienced shorter now than a few years ago.

You do not get that far in half an hour in Stockholm with all the traffic jams while here you get to Umeå, says Christina Lidström (M).
