The Queen of Britain attends an annual ceremony marking her birthday for the first time without Philip

Britain's Queen Elizabeth attended a limited military ceremony at Windsor Castle to mark her official birthday on Saturday, the first time she has attended the annual tradition since the death of her husband Prince Philip two months ago.

The 95-year-old Queen was accompanied by her cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, during her participation in the Tropping the Color ceremony, which has been held for more than 260 years and this year observed the rules of social separation.

Philip died in April after being married to Elizabeth for more than 70 years.

The ceremony took place a day after a reception given by the Queen to the leaders of the Group of Seven in Cornwall, southwest England, where their three-day summit is being held.
