Cristian Royo Blecua

, provincial deputy for

Citizens

in the

Huesca County Council

, is being investigated for an alleged sexual crime after a woman, with whom he had relations, denounced him for having supplied him with a substance in the drink.

The events occurred in

Lleida

, where they had both remained, were reported to the Mosso d'Esquadra and are being investigated by a court in that Catalan city.

As soon as he heard the complaint, the deputy communicated it to the Huesca leadership of

Cs,

which, for now, has not taken any action, while indicating that he respects the presumption of innocence and asks that justice be allowed to act.

For its part, the

Huesc Provincial Council

held an urgent meeting of spokespersons this Friday to listen to Royo's version and analyze the information collected.

He agreed that this body will meet again next Monday to assess whether there are new arguments and so that each party can analyze the case, before making a decision.

Royo

, 30, is the youngest deputy of the provincial corporation and spokesman for the group of Cs, which for the first time obtained representation in that institution in the last elections.

He is in charge of the vice-presidency of Territorial Initiatives and European Programs and is the delegate of European Programs.

He is a senior technician in

Transport and Logistics Management

and in the branch of Physical and Sports Activities Animation, an area in which he has served as a monitor and sports coach at the

Peñas Sariñena

sports club

and in other companies that emerged in Los Monegros.

In addition, he is one of the three councilors of Cs in Villanueva de Sijena, a formation that governs this municipality of Huesca, from where Royo is a native.

For now, he continues in his two public positions.

VERSION OF THE FACTS

In a statement published this Saturday by

Heraldo de Aragón

,

Royo

has given his version of events and points out that a few weeks ago he met a girl and stayed with her in Lleida.

He specifies that on the second date they had relationships in a hotel.

When he finished, he expressed his intention to stop seeing each other and then she left the room and called the

Mossos d'Esquadra

and an ambulance.

The agents went up to the room to take a statement: "They told me not to worry because she had said at all times that the relationships had been consensual but that she felt a bit dizzy and thought that I had spilled something in her drink"

He adds that he gave them his personal details and that he even offered to have the room searched to check that there was no substance.

Finally,

he left the hotel without having to testify at the police station

and the girl was taken to the hospital for tests.

Since then he had not received any formal notification on the matter, but this Friday he contacted the Mossos d'Esquadra to find out what had happened.

They confirmed that the young woman had finally filed a complaint and they had transferred the proceedings to the

Guardia de Lleida Court

to investigate the case.

To date, Royo has not received any judicial injunction, but he assures that in case it is like this "I will go to testify and whatever it takes."

After insisting on his innocence, the provincial deputy and councilor has indicated that, "obviously, I will go to the end because I will not allow my honor to be played with in this way."
