Uppsala

The 42-year-old man, with roots in the Uppsala district Gottsunda, was arrested in Spain on suspicion of extremely serious drug crime and extremely serious drug smuggling.

He is suspected of having played a central role when drugs were smuggled to Sweden and is described as a leading player in Uppsala's criminal world, according to SVT's sources.

- He has controlled the drug market in Uppsala for a long time.

No one dares to tell about him, says a police source who states that the police have been chasing him for many years.

The police picture is that the drug travels across the strait from Morocco to Spain and then up to Sweden.

The 42-year-old is one of several people from Uppsala with a criminal background who have settled in Spain and who today have leading functions in networks in various Swedish cities.

- Down there, they have lived happy days according to our information, says a source.

The 42-year-old man appears in almost 30 sections in the criminal record.

In the spring, he was charged with a serious money laundering crime where he is suspected of having received two million kronor that came from criminal activities.

Together with at least four other men in the network, the 42-year-old has now been arrested on suspicion of serious drug offenses.

Southern Stockholm

A designated leader of what is usually called the Fagersjön network was found murdered on Årstabron in Stockholm last autumn.

Two men have since been detained on suspicion of murder and after Operation "Trojan Shield", new evidence has led to two more men being suspected of involvement.

According to information to SVT, there must have been a split in the network that led to a bloody conflict.

On Thursday, arrest hearings were held at Södertörn District Court regarding several suspected crimes connected to the network.

One case concerns an explosion in Skogås in April which is suspected to be revenge for the murder of Årstabron.

Another arrest concerns involvement in the planning of a murder.

Grodmansligan

At Nyköping District Court, nine people from Sörmland, Stockholm and Småland have been arrested with the help of information from the operation.

The suspicions concern extremely serious drug offenses.

One of the suspects is a 72-year-old man, convicted of repeated serious drug offenses.

As early as the 1980s, he was mentioned as the leader of the so-called Frogman League, which smuggled amphetamine by swimming ashore with drugs.

In the same case, a man from Stockholm who had previously been convicted of cash-in-transit robbery was arrested.

Västerås

Two brothers in Västerås' criminal environment are considered to have played leading roles in the smuggling of large quantities of hashish from Morocco via Spain.

One of the brothers was arrested last autumn in the Encrochat operation and is accused of having taken 309 kilos of hashish in a truck via the port of Trelleborg.

He is also accused of ordering an assassination attempt on a person connected to a drug network in Botkyrka.

In connection with "Trojan Shield", the other of the two brothers from Västerås has been arrested and detained on suspicion of extremely serious drug offenses.

In the same case, two more companions from Västerås are in custody.

The Västerås brothers have close ties to leading figures in the Södertälje network and networks from Uppsala, according to SVT's information.

Skåne

About 30 people have been arrested and half a ton of drugs have been seized in the South region in connection with the "Trojan Shield".

Several of the detainees have a leading position in organized crime, sources tell SVT.

Two of the detainees, a 55-year-old and a 65-year-old, have previously been sentenced to long prison terms for extensive drug smuggling.

The men are suspected of having brought large amounts of drugs into Sweden for a long time, according to SVT's information.

Bandidos

Three people - 29, 33 and 36 years old - were arrested in dawn raids on Monday morning on suspicion of aiding and abetting an assassination attempt in May.

They are linked to Bandido's subgroup X-Team and the Bredäng network.

They were detained as reasonable suspects, the lower the degree of suspicion.

It is unclear who the target was, but according to information to SVT, there are several ongoing conflicts with, among others, the Östberganätverket and people around Sätra in southern Stockholm.

The 36-year-old was detained for four months on suspicion of having placed the bomb that detonated on Östermalm in Stockholm in January last year, but was released for lack of evidence.

Also in Skåne, a 27-year-old man with connections to Bandido's department in Helsingborg has been arrested with evidence from "Trojan Shield".

He was arrested already in May before the international operation became public and is in custody on suspicion of a particularly serious drug crime.

Bromma

On November 2 last year, a 22-year-old man was shot dead in a residential area in Bromma in Stockholm.

A man of the same age from Tensta was arrested for the murder, but was released as late as April this year for lack of evidence.

Through information from "Trojan Shield", the evidence was considered to have been strengthened and he could be arrested on suspicion of murder.

In addition to him, a 39-year-old man known to the police was taken in, suspected of having helped the shooter stay away.

The 39-year-old comes from northwest Stockholm, where he has connections to criminals and was close to the man who was recently shot in front of several witnesses in Husby.

Gothenburg

The District Court in Gothenburg was forced to open two extra halls to accommodate all hearings on Thursday due to "Trojan Shield".

These included serious drug offenses, attempted murder and weapons offenses.

One of the suspects is a 32-year-old man who, according to the prosecutor, is part of the so-called Bergsjön network in Gothenburg.

He was arrested on Monday and is suspected of having imported over a ton of hashish by boat from Morocco.
