Austin noted that he is looking forward to meeting with his Turkish counterpart at the NATO summit on June 14.

The parties also touched upon regional issues in the conversation.

Earlier it became known that within the framework of the NATO summit, President of the United States Joe Biden will discuss with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan the situation in Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Mediterranean.
