During the summer period every year, Ringhals makes audits that involve longer stops for fuel changes and entertainment measures.

The intention was that Ringhals 3 would stand still between 24 May and 20 June.

But the incident with the fuel element means that the time is extended to 27 August.

There are a total of 260 fuel elements in the pool where they are to be cleaned and stored during work.

On one of the elements, the fastening device came loose and ended up in the wrong position.

Advanced lifting equipment is now required, which is currently not available.

In the clip, Ringhals CEO, Björn Linde, tells more about what the incident causes and what it means for electricity production.
