June 10, 2021: Two Palestinian security officers and a third person believed to be a member of Islamic Jihad were killed in a fire fight with Israeli operations forces in the West Bank city of Jenin.



The shooting took place outside Palestinian intelligence headquarters when Israeli forces attempted to arrest two men suspected of belonging to Islamic Jihad.



In a video posted online, officers are seen taking cover behind a car, while gunshots are heard in the background. One of them claims that they are exchanging gunshots with Israeli "undercover" forces. The officers killed are Adham Yasser Eleiwi and Tayseer Ayasa, who intervened after noticing the Israeli movements.

US appeal on march to Jerusalem

The US has called on Israelis and Palestinians to "avoid provocation" regarding the march of Israeli nationalists which will take place in Jerusalem on June 15. "It is important that all stakeholders refrain from making decisions that exacerbate tensions and that steps are actively taken to avoid provocation and escalation," said State Department spokesman Ned Price.



Regarding vaccines, at the G7 summit, the group of seven economic powers that meets in Cornwall, Joe Biden will announce a "world vaccination plan" to address the global emergency linked to the Covid pandemic. Last week, the president of the United States declared sending 25 million doses of the vaccine to South America, Asia, Africa and the Palestinian territories.
