The Swedish Transport Administration has now begun construction, which is expected to be completed in late autumn 2021. The goal is increased accessibility and better safety for those who walk and cycle along the route.
- Safety is much better when you travel on a separated roadway that is separated from the traffic, says project manager Jimmy Larsson at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Another stage awaits
The first stage that is now being built is the one between Kolbäck and Strömsholm, but later a cycle path will also be built on the Lyckhem-Hallstahammar section.
- We hope that it will be a very nice solution so that you can cycle from Hallstahammar to Strömsholm in a safe way, says Tord Lilja traffic engineer Hallstahammar municipality.
