• A new poll carried out for France 3 Occitanie lists Jean-Paul Garraud, the candidate of the National Rally, leading the evening of the first round of regional elections in Occitanie.

  • Benefiting from few reserves of votes, he would be largely overtaken in the second round by the outgoing Socialist president, Carole Delga, in a quadrangular configuration with the LR and LREM lists.

  • These new voting intentions also show a crumbling of the votes in the first round in favor of the candidate EELV (8%), but also of the candidates of the right and the center, Aurélien Pradié (LR-UDI) and Vincent Terrail-Novès (LREM) , tied at 11%.

Ten days before the regional elections, a new poll places Jean-Paul Garraud, the candidate of the National Rally, at the top of the voting intentions in the first round of the regional elections in Occitania, followed by the outgoing socialist Carole Delga, victorious in the second round. For this survey carried out by Sopra Steria Ipsos for France 3, 1,000 people were questioned between June 3 and 7. On June 20, 33% of them intend to vote for the RN list, 30% would vote for Carole Delga, both up compared to the 2015 results, but also to the previous poll carried out by Ifop at the start of months.

On the other hand, the two candidates from the right and from the center see lower voting intentions towards their lists.

Aurélien Pradié (LR-UDI) and Vincent Terrail-Novés, supported by LREM, would tie in the first round with 11%.

As for Antoine Maurice, the EELV candidate, he would be at 8% of the voting intentions, not being able to maintain himself in the second round, which would force him to merge with the list of Carole Delga, as in 2015. The list LFI of Myriam Martin would get 4%, followed by the LO candidate, Malena Adrada (2%), the regionalist Jean-Luc Davezac (0.5%) and the citizen list of Anthony Le Boursicaud (0.5%).

Pradié and Terrail-Novès down

In a quadrangular configuration, facing the RN, LR and LREM lists, it is the one led by Carole Delga, allied to Antoine Maurice, who would come out largely at the top of the polls on June 27 with 41% of the vote.

Jean-Paul Garraud would come second with 34% of the vote, followed by the presidential majority candidate Vincent Terrail-Novès (13%) and Aurélien Pradié (12%).

Between the two polls of June 1 and 9, the two right-wing candidates fell in voting intentions, credited respectively with 17% and 16% by Ifop at the start of the month.

Unlike the list of Jean-Paul Garraud who sees their scores reinforced in the second round, with a 4% increase in voting intentions.
