China News Service, June 9th. According to Peru's "Communiqué", as of 17:20 local time on the 8th, the Peruvian National Electoral Procedure Office has completed the statistics of 98.095% of the votes.

The Liberal Peru Party candidate Pedro Castillo got 50.248% of the votes, and the People's Force Party candidate Fujimori Keiko got 49.752%.

On the 8th, Peruvian economist Alejandro Indacochia pointed out that whether Castillo or Keiko Fujimori wins, the new government should put macroeconomic stability and social tolerance first.

Indakochia said that reflecting on past experience, Peru pays too much attention to economic growth, low inflation and credit ratings, but does not pay due attention to education, health and the domestic vulnerable groups.

Therefore, the new president will face challenges in social, political, economic, and governance.

He said: "We must work together to promote the development of the country, because the current situation is not optimistic."
