Macron's first comment on the incident of slapping him.. What did he say?

French President Emmanuel Macron described being slapped in the face on Tuesday as an "individual accident".

"We have to put this incident in context. This is an isolated incident," Macron told local French newspaper Le Dauphin-Liber after he was slapped while on tour in southeastern France.

BFM TV channel and RMC radio had said that French authorities had arrested two people after a man slapped French President Emmanuel Macron's face during a tour with a crowd in the Drome region in southeastern France.

The channel and radio published a video clip circulated on "Twitter", in which a man in a green shirt, glasses and a muzzle appears chanting "Down with the macaroni", then he slapped Macron in the face.

The clip also showed Macron's security entourage quickly intervening to lure the man to the ground and keep Macron away from him.
