“Within a few weeks, a significant decrease in the number of violations can be observed,” RIA Novosti quoted Gryzlov as saying.

He said that "according to representatives of Donetsk and Luhansk, in recent days there have been practically no shelling from Ukraine, and accordingly, no return fire has been opened either."

“It is obvious that the Ukrainian shelling is not spontaneous, but quite manageable, and exacerbations on the line of contact arise taking into account the political processes in and around Ukraine,” added Gryzlov.

Earlier, the representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) stated that the Ukrainian military fired at the western outskirts of Horlivka with mortars.
