Europe 1 followed three agents of the Department of Public Health in the streets of Paris, responsible for ensuring that restaurateurs respect the health protocol.

Since Wednesday morning, as part of the third stage of deconfinement, establishments are again authorized to welcome customers in the dining room.

REPORTAGE

The third stage of deconfinement, started on Wednesday, allows the French to find more freedoms and distractions, in particular with the reopening of restaurant and café rooms.

A freedom which remains in spite of everything very supervised.

In Paris, the police headquarters ensure that everyone respects the rules in the face of Covid-19.

Thus, in the district of République, where Europe 1 went, three agents from the Directorate of Public Health were patrolling this Wednesday.

Their objective: to verify that the new sanitary protocol is applied in the establishments.

Half-gauge, hydroalcoholic gel, reminder book ...

First stop at Francesco's Latin restaurant.

"This restaurant has 72 seats. Now we have 35 seats. At the entrance, we have QR codes to scan with the #TousAntiCovid application as a reminder book. But also dispensers of hydroalcoholic gel," explains he told the agents.

“He's a good student!” Assures one of the officials.

A first warning before a possible ticketing

On the other hand, it is necessary to refresh the memory of the managers of the pizzeria a few meters away.

"It will be necessary to set up a notebook where you will have to note the identity of your customers", recalls the agent.

A message heard by Jocelyne, ready to resume business next to her pizza oven.

"It's very good that there are controls. People must be warned of all!", She says.

On Wednesday, officers gave a simple reminder of the rules.

But other checks will take place in the coming days to check that the protocol is being respected and, if necessary, to issue a ticket.
