The two pilots and four other defendants will be back on Monday in the corridors of the Aix-en-Provence court, in the Bouches-du-Rhône.

From this Monday until July 9, the Aix-en-Provence Assize Court of Appeal will again seek to shed light on the sulphurous case known as "Air Cocaine".

The case had come to light with the interception of a Falcon 50 filled with 700 kg of cocaine on a tarmac in Punta Cana, in March 2013. The pilots Bruno Odos and Pascal Fauret had been arrested while they were s' were about to take control, heading for France.

During the first trial, in early 2019, the judges estimated that the two pilots had knowingly participated in a transatlantic gang drug trafficking organized between Saint-Tropez (Var), the Dominican Republic and Quito, sentencing them to six years in prison.

A blow for Pascal Fauret and Bruno Odos, who hoped for acquittal.
